About these guides

What you actually get from reading these

Each guide addresses one specific problem in website copywriting — from structuring a homepage to writing service pages that answer the questions visitors actually have. The goal is not inspiration. It is copy you can use or adapt the same day.

Good website copy does not require a writing background. It requires understanding what your visitor needs to know before they contact you, and putting that in the right order. These guides walk through that process without assuming prior knowledge.

About Smartclubhub

How a page goes from draft to published

Step 01 — Complete

Define the page objective

Before writing a word, decide what one action you want a visitor to take. A page trying to do three things usually achieves none of them.

Step 02 — Complete

Map the visitor's questions

List the questions someone has when they land on your page. Write copy that answers them in the order they arise — not the order that feels logical to you as the business owner.

Step 03 — In progress

Write the first draft without editing

Get the content down without stopping to improve sentences. Editing during drafting produces copy that sounds polished but says nothing specific.

Step 04 — Pending

Cut everything that does not earn its place

Read each sentence and ask whether it helps the visitor decide. If it does not, remove it. Shorter pages with clear answers outperform long pages with vague claims.
